My name is Dave Williams and I established Williams School of Motoring in 2001 over which time the school has built up a excellent reputation for offering quality driving lessons in Newton Abbot and the surrounding area. We are also well known for having a friendly face!

Outside work Dave is involved in Local Theatre and has four children who regularly perform in shows.

Claire has been a Driving Instructor since 2006 so as you might expect has a fantastic pass rate and also a great rapport with her students. Claire joined Williams in December 2016 and currently has several students close to test and her customer reviews will follow as soon as they come through. Like all the Williams Driving instructors Claire has already attended many training courses and holds a diploma in Driving instruction. Claire also is a member of the institute of Advanced Motorists. Claire is very happy to teach very nervous learners.

Stephen Croucher has been a driving instructor since 2004, and has run his own school Stevo,s for many years before joining Williams in 2014 . Steve also teaches B+E trailer training . Steve takes driver safety very seriously and has a ROSPA Driving qualification, which is one of the highest qualifications available to any car driver.

We are pleased to announce that Rodel Santos has joined us as a driving instructor. Rodel is based in Torbay and has been a Fully Qualified Driving Instructor since 2013. Rodel has a new Ford Fiesta  as his driving school car.

Mike Adkins has been a Driving instructor since 2016. He is based in Torquay covering Torbay, Teignbridge & Totnes areas, Mike trained and instructed in Plymouth before moving to Torquay. Mike used to be an LGV Driver having been in the transport industry for 25 years.

Simon Mckechan was trained by James Palmer, one of Williams Driving School’s most experienced instructors.

He passed his exams in 2019 and has taken to the job like a fish to water. His pupils find him very relaxed and friendly.

Simon is married with 2 young children and has loved being able to spend more time with them than he could in his old job as a Chef.

Williams Driving School are pleased to announce that Kay Tomlin has joined their team of fully qualified instructors.

Kay has worked for RED Driving School as an instructor for a few years.

Kay will be our 1st instructor to also cover Exeter.
