Congratulations to our local students who now have the freedom of the road.

We are delighted that the following learner drivers, who are all from the Newton Abbot area have now completed the learner syllabus and are now proud owners of full driving licences.

Congratulations to Becky Yates originally from Holcombe near Dawlish but now living in Exeter on passing her automatic practical driving test on the 18th of January.

Becky wanted to continue her driving lessons in Newton Abbot even though she had moved to Exeter so she travelled down from Exeter for her lessons every Saturday.

Becky was extremely nervous on the day but showed confidence and got through it and made her instructor very proud.

Best wishes and safe driving from your Driving Instructor Ian Lynn and the whole team here at Williams Driving School.

Congratulations to Toby Williams on passing his B+E practical trailer test on the 21st of January with training taking place in Newton Abbot. Toby passed on his 1st attempt with only 2 driver faults.

Toby went for an assessment and with his progress we decided to try and get a last minute cancellation. The plan worked a treat thanks to some excellent planning and helpful future candidates.

Best wishes Toby from your Driving Instructor Steve Croucher and everyone here at Williams Driving School.

Congratulations to Hugo Ellis for passing his practical trailer test on his 1st attempt on the 22nd of January. Hugo passed with only 3 driver faults after completing a 2 day course.

Well done Hugo from your instructor Steve Croucher and everyone here at Williams Driving School.

Congratulations to Karen Iddiols from Newton Abbot who passed her practical automatic driving test on the 23rd of January.

Karen didn’t ever plan on driving as she lived in London, but when she moved to Devon she realised that she needs a car.

Karen’s looking forward to being able to take her dogs out to new places. She was ready to give up after a few lessons but perseverance got her through. Instructor Ian is extremely proud of her.

Best wishes and safe driving from your automatic Driving Instructor Ian Lynn and the rest of the Williams Driving School team.

“I was looking for automatic driving lessons and a Driving Instructor who’d be happy to deal with a very nervous driver.

Learning to drive was not as bad as I had thought it would be. My Driving Instructor Ian Lynn had excellent teaching methods and was very calm always having a sense of humour.

I have already recommended the school to others as I honestly can’t think of anything that needed improving. A special mention for Ian as I never thought I would be able to drive as I’m 46!! My first lesson was tough and I didn’t want to drive again but Ian had a long chat with me and talked me in to it to persevere. I have now passed and love driving!! Ian is a credit to Williams Driving School and I’m already looking into doing the pass plus course.

Thank you!!”

Karen Iddiols, Newton Abbot

Congratulations to Lyle Bosomworth on passing his practical B+E trailer test on the 24th of January with an excellent drive with only 2 driver faults with training taking place in Newton Abbot.

Lyle had no previous experience with towing or trailers and needed to tow much heavier combinations and came to us to help.

It was an excellent few days and Lyle took to the training really well.

Best wishes Lyle from your instructor Steve Croucher and everyone here at Williams Driving School.

A big well done to Lucy Gutierrez from Newton Abbot who passed her automatic practical driving test on the 25th of January. Lucy passed 1st time in Newton Abbot.

Lucy has been driving on her American licence and needed to pass her British licence to be able to drive permanently in this country.

Congratulations and safe driving from your Driving Instructor Claire Hancock and the whole team here at Williams Driving School.
